The Red Sweater Project's static site needed to be rethought to align with the evolving brand, and to support a growing number of mobile users. To see more of the process, visit my page on behance.

The students as well as the staff at the school are excited to have a new site that reflects the positive energy and success of the Mungere School. Feedback from fundraisers is positive, and donors are excited about how much easier it is to maintain sponsorships.
The Yegna radio show tells the story of five Ethiopian girls who create a band, and how they navigate life and big issues. I was asked to develop kits for girls to use to start Yegna clubs across Ethiopia.
I wrote and ran test clubs across Ethiopia. We tested in five different regions with girls who were in school, out of school, married, and not married, in both urban and rural areas. We discovered in some areas that girls had no access to the radio show, and the club kit would need to work as a stand alone piece. We incorporated theater and song writing exercises into our testing to get an authentic idea of what it means to be an adolescent girl in Ethiopia.
Through testing, we got a clearer look at:
-Accessibility (to the radio show and to resources)
-Relevance of content
-Materials that could be used to build kits that would be attractive to urban girls, but wouldn't be stolen from rural girls
Copy and Design
-First draft of the leader's guide as well as workbooks
-A game system
I rewrote and rethought sessions constantly so we could rapidly prototype, test and retest daily. We made games that were based upon a bead economy system to build trust and friendship between girls, which tested well across regions. We also allowed for two points of entry in the leader guides: one for girls who could follow along with the radio show, and one for girls who were engaging with Yegna for the first time.
In 2015, a soft launch of the kits was done with 50 initial clubs. A full scale launch will follow the initial testing.
All materials for the kits were locally sourced in Ethiopia.
Investors are more likely to invest with Charles Schwab if it means a donation will be made toward a cause they believe in. Invested in Change was born, and needed to be introduced to the world.

The client was happy with the final campaign, especially since she loved the photograph, but disliked the model's beard. It was the first time I've ever had to digitally shave someone's face.

Charles Schwab Retail, Investment Management, Adviser Services, and Charitable business segments all have this in common: they like to see how much you can fit into onto one page.
I redesigned several B2B and B2C pieces with the user in mind, whether it be a salesperson in a presentation, or an investor exploring materials at a retail branch.
The Schwab brand team called my brochure redesign "a beautiful evolution of the brand." The client was very happy with the sales summary spread, and it did well when tested with sales team members.
Nike Sustainability needed help starting a conversation on campus about the importance of sustainability, and to engage employees in spearheading new initiatives.
AHA was asked to write several options for video scripts that would engage and excite employees about sustainability while tapping into Nike DNA.
I wrote one of the three options presented on campus, and created a deck used to present the body work. The imagery was timed to the reading of each piece so the client could experience a rough storyboard of each idea. The clients loved it, and the presentation built credibility for the agency and led to additional work.
Working at the Nike's Tee Center of Excellence, I wrote copy and designed graphics for Running, Women's Training, Tennis and Young Athletes. I sought out artists for collaborations, and art directed several illustrators each season.
I developed concepts for each season's graphics, wrote copy, worked with legal to approve concepts, presented to clients, implemented feedback, and handed off production ready files. I visited factories to do press checks, and reviewed samples as they came in.
I designed the first women's tee to bring in over one million dollars, and had several successful seasons over the 3 years I spent at Nike.
